Making sure you have a responsible, well trained and communicative team is paramount.

When considering new hires, here are a few things you won't want to forget:

Drivers

Driving Record. A driver with a bad record will affect your insurance premiums. If you trust the driver, this may be something to consider when negotiating their rate of pay.

Ticket History. Always have your drivers stay on top of this. Reminding them quarterly could save you tons of money in impound fees if your driver is stopped and has a warrant for unpaid tickets.

All team members working your local in-home delivery contracts will be required to pass a background check.

Make sure you are choosing candidates who will make the vetting process as easy as possible for your route agents.
